About The Author

I grew up in the cobbled streets of a Northern mill town (the baby of the family, with two older sisters and

an older brother) and left school at sixteen, going straight into work as a Civil Servant. At eighteen I

moved to the Wirral Peninsula, across the water from the magical city of Liverpool, and married Jonathan (my best friend).  We have three fantastic daughters; our eldest works with victims of Human Trafficking, our middle daughter is a professional singer and our youngest daughter is studying Criminal Justice.

Having worked in an admin capacity for most of my life, things took a different turn in 2015 when Jonathan, our youngest daughter and I moved overseas for a few years.  Leaving our jobs, family, culture and perceived security had a profound effect on us and caused us to re-evaluate the way we lived upon our return to the U.K.  It was a

transforming time of change and we are richer for it.  It gave us a new understanding about the intrinsic

value and worth of every individual, regardless of their situation. Living back in England again, I am now a

full time writer. I contribute to Print Collective which I really enjoy and I love writing for ‘No Going Back’.

Being outdoors brings me life - whether it’s going for a run, hiking in the Welsh hills or walking along one of the beaches near my house.  I love reading; I always have far too many books on the go at the same time.

Music is big part of my life, as are films, but my most favourite thing in the world is being with my family.

I am privileged to write for you and thank you for taking the time to visit my site.  I hope you find much that encourages, inspires, challenges and provokes you to think, be brave, take risks and live the life you want.

Please feel free to comment and I will get back to you.  Spread the word if you like what you see. Thank you!
